The passion and excitement felt when returning home to the one you love is captured as a real life experience from singer Trudii Harrison. "Destiny" is the only way to describe the perfect union of that rare love experience when the heart is overcome with joy and fulfillment just thinking about seeing each other again. Trudii experienced this very feeling while on the road returning home to her partner. She decided to set it to music.
Trudii pulls from true life experiences when writing her songs. She may be inspired to write about social activism as well as topics of love, peace and justice. Once she receives the music, Trudii’s lyrical intuition guides her down the chosen path of song writing. Her previous single “Black Voice” released in April 2021, was a strong political statement in response to the killing of George Floyd. Trudii pointedly calls out the tragedy of endemic racism and emphasizes time for black voices to stand up and speak out.
"Destiny" takes a different path yet equally passionate and compelling. Love is a universal theme that appeals to the humans of us all. Her producer, Cliff Manswell, of CKM Infinity Studios, sent the music and instantly Trudii decided on a deeply expressed love concept she was feeling at the time. She also knew Richie Spice was the person she wanted most to perform the duo with her. Trudii is a long time fan of Richie Spice admiring him for his demonstrated commitment to conscious reggae music. By coincidence or perhaps destiny, Trudii’s partner, Andre, plays drums in Richie’s Element Band. Although Trudii was one of Richie’s biggest fans, she was too shy to ask him to sing with her. Cliff opened the door and set the stage for the collaboration. Trudii’s partner who is often on the road performing deepened her lyrical expression of the love felt when he comes home from tour.
"Destiny" is a deeply passionate statement for anyone who has felt the inner glow of love and the joy with the anticipated reunion with a partner. The song was released on the CKM Infinity label on September 9th, 2022 and is distributed by Zojak Worldwide.
